City of Laguna Memorial Day Half Marathon

The 2019 event marks the 21st annual City of Laguna Hills Memorial Day Half Marathon, 5k, and 10K, Honoring the United States Marine Corps Dark Horse Battalion.
This favorite Memorial Day running event takes place in the beautiful Orange County cities of Laguna Hills, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Woods, and Laguna Niguel. Runners and walkers of all experience levels are invited to come out and enjoy the Memorial Day festivities! With a half marathon (13.1 miles), 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles), 10K Run/Walk (6.2 miles) and a Kid’s Run (1/2 Mile), there is something for everyone!
The Laguna Hills Half Marathon 13.1 mile point-to-point course starts at 7:00 am and features rolling hills and a stretch through the Aliso and Wood Canyon Park. Scenic and challenging, the paved course begins at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center and finishes at the Laguna Hills Community Center. All half marathon, 5K & 10K participants should park at the start line as there are no pre-race shuttles from the finish line up to the start line. Click here for full Parking/Directions/Shuttle information. Water stations will be located at 1.5, 3.3, 5.3 6.2, 7.0, 8.7, 10.6, 12.3 mile points on the course. Electrolyte Sports Drinks will be available at 6.2, 8.7, 10.6 and 12.3 miles.
The Laguna Hills Half Marathon will have same first 3 miles as the 5K & 10K. On Alicia Parkway the half marathon will continue down to Aliso & Woods Canyon Park then enter the Aliso Creek Trail and back to LH Community Center.
Strollers are not recommended for the Half Marathon. The Half Marathon course has approximately .70 miles section of slightly downhill packed dirt between miles 7-8.
